Kirk is the Property Director. He is responsible for identifying sites and structuring the finance, developing the product brief and the marketing and sales strategy.
Kirk used to enjoy falling down extremely steep mountains, older and heavier he now plays Fat Dad Football with the Dulwich Blades where he is known as Pie Man. The Blades were European Champions in 2012. In 2013 he completed the extreme ToughMudder event coming in the top twenty, thousand.
Kirk lives in London with has wife Caroline, two daughters, two Jacks, two cats, two guinea pigs and two goldfish, Noah like.
Darren is an award winning architect with a global track record. He is a member of the RIBA and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts as well as being CEO of one of Britain’s leading architectural practices with a worldwide portfolio. Darren can bring a resource of over 200 designers and planners to Ultrabox.
Darren is the Design Director. He is responsible for all creative matters including architecture, planning, construction design, interior design, furniture design, branding and marketing.
Darren and fellow Ultrabox partner, John Barbour qv, uphold the longstanding British tradition of the sports car run down to the Le Mans 24h every year. An all-round accomplished sportsman, Darren is not, but a keen skier and cyclist, Darren definitely is!
Darren lives in Sevenoaks with his Danish wife Anja and their three boys where they breed iPads, iPods, iPhones and seemingly anything Apple!
John is an experienced quantity surveyor having spent his early career with Gardiner & Theobald and Davis Langdon. Ten years ago he set up Quantem Consulting, now a leading, and award winning, independent London based construction and development consultancy. John brings a resource of 40 surveyors to the development delivery side of Ultrabox.
John is the Development Director. He is responsible for the delivery of projects, the production of first class, fault free homes built to the highest quality. On the business side he is responsible for the cost control of our developments and the financial reporting to our funding partners.
John is a keen fisherman and keeps a boat at Brightlingsea on which he regularly bobs about talking to himself. His alter ego has been a keen racing driver and he is the reigning European Caterham Champion.
John lives in London with his Canadian wife Kathleen qv the Ultrabox financial controller, and their two sons.
Carsten is a highly experienced large-scale property investor and developer with a Europe-wide track record including the establishment of national house builder businesses in Scandinavia delivering 500 – 1000 homes per annum.
Carsten is the Investment Director. He brings his experience and wide network of contacts in the capital markets to the structuring of the Ultrabox corporate vehicle to ensure the business is well founded and projects well funded giving a clear strategy to the business.
As a Dane, when younger Carsten was a marathon runner and cyclist and a keen event competitor, he still keeps in shape running around Hyde Park when in London. A petrol head, he used to race lairy sports cars, he owned the Swedish National Racing Circuit at one time, and kept a Cigarette in the Med. These days life is considerably quieter.
Carsten lives in Copenhagen with his family and commutes to London for the working week.
